The Wine:

Beautiful ripe dark berry fruit, plums and a hint of liquorice on the nose that carries through onto the palate with a touch of chocolate.
The palate is elegantly structured with delicate, finely grained tannins
A vibrant and accessible wine that demonstrates an array of delicious juicy fruit and savoury flavours - complex and focused on the palate.

Viticulture and Winemaking:

The fruit was 100% hand-picked on 27th March – 1 April 2008
Grape bunches were 100% destemmed
The grapes had varying times of cold maceration and varying fermentation temperatures to increase the wine’s complexity
Maturation in 100% French oak (40% new) (mainly Remond and Francois Frerre barriques)
Date of bottling June 2009 (7,460 bottles produced)
Alcohol 14.0%.
